Amazon FBA UK profit checklist
A seller-friendly checklist for checking FBA profit before inventory, fulfilment and category fees surprise you.

Separate referral fees from fulfilment
Amazon profit planning gets messy when every fee is treated as one blended percentage. Referral fees depend on category. FBA costs depend on fulfilment details.
Keep those parts separate so you can see which cost is doing the damage.
Do not average away product size
A small change in packaging can change fulfilment economics. Before buying stock, check the packed size and weight, not just the product dimensions from a supplier sheet.
If you are unsure, model the fulfilment cost conservatively until you have measured the actual packaged product.
Ads need their own tolerance
FBA sellers often discover that a product is profitable before ads and fragile after ads. That is not a reason to avoid Amazon; it is a reason to know your break-even ad spend.
A product with high review competition may need more launch spend than the first spreadsheet suggests.
